Ukrainian rescuers escorted a convoy of vehicles with humanitarian aid

On June 25, a convoy of twelve trucks of the State Fire Service of the Republic of Poland with medical protective equipment to fight coronavirus infection COVID-19 arrived in Kyiv from the city of Warsaw.

The cargo, which is more than 130 tons of masks, disposable gloves, helmets, protective suits, disinfectant, was officially handed over to the Ukrainian side by Polish Ambassador to Ukraine Bartosz Cichotski at the Kyiv City Customs Department of the State Fiscal Service.

Medical devices were purchased by the Polish concerns PKO BP, PKN Orlen, PZU, PGNIG, as well as by the Ministry of Health of Poland for Ukrainian hospitals.

The safety of transportation of valuable cargo to the capital through Volyn, Rivne, Zhytomyr and Kyiv regions ensured the personnel of the above-mentioned regional subdivisions of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
